Sports Tours: Exploring the Options As
soon as PK receive your enquiry, they will allocate you a
personal Tour Co-ordinator with detailed knowledge of your
preferred destination and of the sporting
opportunities available. They will talk to you to make sure
they understand exactly what you want and that you are aware
of all the possibilities available.
Tailoring an Itinerary
Your
Co-ordinator will then put together a draft itinerary that is
best possible fit with your requirements. This of course can
be amended if necessary.
Selecting Accommodation
PK offers a range of accommodation: hostels, apartments or
hotels. All are fully checked by their Due Diligence procedures
and they will provide you with a full description of facilities
and costs. Billets (staying with host families) are available
for some destinations and offer a great way of experiencing
the country, forging international friendships and keeping
costs down. It is advisable not to billet throughout your tour, as
it tends fragment the tour group.
Organising Sports
Fixtures PK work closely with sports
associations, clubs and schools and have an expert knowledge
of the level of play of local teams. If you have you own
contacts they will happily liaise with them. The most
significant lessons are learned in competitive challenging
encounters, rather than easy victories or hard defeats. PK
plan carefully to ensure that the fixtures
organised are with teams of the right age range and
competence. They also recognise the importance of cultural and
social touring experiences and will try and organise
post-match hospitality, whenever possible.
Going Free
Complementary places are
available to teachers, tour leaders or helpers, normally on
the basis of one complementary per twenty paying passengers.
Obviously, the bigger the tour group, the more comps that are
available.
Making the
Booking As soon as you are happy with the tour
arrangements, PK will send you a booking information pack. You
then return the booking form and pay a non-refundable deposit
of £100 per person. As soon as this is received, PK will send
you a confirmation invoice detailing the services to be
provided and the outstanding balance, which becomes due 10 weeks
prior to your departure date.
Answering your Questions In
the run up to a tour, your Co-ordinator will be available to
answer questions at all times. PK understand the pressure on
schools when it comes to safety issues and the need to
undertake a formal Risk Assessment for every trip. Teachers'
tasks are quite heavy enough, so they will undertake to ensure
that all the information needed for this is available and up
to date. |
